We have both been around dogs for as long as we can remember. Over the years, we've had the companonship of many breeds.From those of "mixed " parentage to German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Border Collies, Wire Haired Fox Terriers and English Cocker Spaniels, but none have been of such gentleness in nature, as easy going and always ready to play a game as our Springer Spaniels. Our first English Springer Spaniel came to us by way of a birthday present to our daughter, Natasha. It was while on a trip to Sydney for the 1995 International Mirror class national sailing championships, that we came across some Springer pups from Silvaspring kennels advertised in a local paper. Natasha attempted to show Mel for a while but Mel was never very thrilled with the show ring, hence her show career was very short lived. Mel is 11 now and there is nothing she enjoys more than to spend her time hunting skinks in the back yard. But during her show time we met Judy West of Tarnell kennels who, when we were ready, about three years ago put us onto Cindy and Sonia Gangell of Southend Kennels down in Tasmania. So along came Cody, who has become our foudation bitch
